Maths & Science back to BM, Chinese & Tamil

Well, language should not be the main concern of learning any knowledge. Of course they are a lot of suggestions and researches saying that we learn better in the language we understand the best.

However, in this case I wonder whether the students can't learn or the teachers can't teach. I am quite sure it is the latter. So if the teachers can't teach we should teach the teachers and not reverse the policy.

Besides that, why spend 6 years fighting for the medium of instruction and not the content of the program? To be very frank I can say that our Maths curriculum is about 4-5 years behind Japan, 3-4 years behind Singapore & China and maybe we are lacking to Thailand and Indonesia as well. Sad but I think this is the reality.

I think the least that we can do is to maintain teaching Science in English. Or learn it during secondary schools.

Well, I am quite disappointed. Really

Mat Rempit, Samseng Jalanan or maybe just plain Belia Perlu Bantuan

Recently there are a lot of debates about renaming the people who do illegal racing on public road. Previously, they are known as "Mat Rempit" and now the traffic police decided to name this group of people Samseng Jalanan.

I personally and professionally disagree with both names. When you classify them with certain names that actually glorify their act you will see them happily enjoying the tag and it may even attract more people joining this hobby. This is because the brain will produce endorphins that will make them feel "high" and excited. I think the name "samseng jalanan" will make their brain produce more endorphins and create a greater "HIGH".

Just call them Belia Perlu Bantuan, i think they will stop doing what they are doing now because it is not glamorous at all and sound needy instead of wanted.
